My name is Megan and I am Crazy for Car Seats! I'm not originally from Houston, but I've now lived here longer than anywhere else I have ever lived--at least consecutively, so this is definitely home.

I took a convoluted route to CPST certification, which I first received in July of 2016. Years before that, I had a busy business as a personal chef, and a few years before that I spent an extremely unfulfilling few years as an attorney. I have finally found my passion!

The kids in my photo are two elementary aged kids who still have several years of car seats ahead of them, despite their frequent whining and the fact that the oldest is now legally able to ride in a regular vehicle seat according to Texas Law. Thankfully they have resolved themselves to the fact that they are the children of a lady who is crazy for car seats :)

My Goal

Driving is the most dangerous thing that most of us do every day.  While there are sadly some crashes that just aren't survivable, my goal is to ensure that every caregiver I meet with leaves me knowing that ​their child is as safe as possible in their car.  As CPSTs we learn that all car seats on the market are equally safe, despite the price tag,  but the SAFEST SEAT is the child restraint that fits your child's age, weight, height and developmental level, AND which you can install and use properly in your vehicle 100% of the time.
